Contract data vs prepaid data

Don't know if this has been discussed but it feels as if contract data speeds get throttled.
I have a vodacom 2gig contract as a second sim in my phone. It only lasts me about 3 weeks. Then I buy 1 gig prepaid and my data speeds feels much faster.
Does anybody else notice this?

To be honest I have never noticed this. The last time I had data speeds from Vodacom that were throttled was when I still had my Blackberry 9800 on their BIS network. Their network speeds have been slower in the last few weeks in my area. Don't know if this is a nationwide problem.

Thank you for the reply. Maybe it is my imagination wishing for better speed. I'm in Pretoria and also experiencing slow data.
