I have a contract ending 27 Dec according to the website - but I see it's still active today.

Do these things default to the end of the month for termination ?

If you did not give explicit instructions to have the number converted to prepaid or the number completely deleted, then the contract will just go month to month and you will continue to be charged. Please PM me the number and I will have a look for you.

HI. Future deletion is loaded for end of December. All deletions always goes through end of the month. Lines do not get deleted during the course of the month. This allows you to use any minutes, data or airtime that might be remaining on the line.

Ockie is there a way I could request contract ending through the web interface?

Or how would I go about requesting the conversion to Prepaid otherwise?

On the topic of Prepaid is there any difference in cost versus pre-loading a 1GB Bundle from say FNB, versus buying R275 airtime and then "converting" to a 1GB bundle from the phone?

Also what are the airtime windows for both airtime itself and data? I haven't been on Prepaid in probably 15 years.

Let me go scratch on the website so long, probably stupid questions above.

****

Scratch that idea, finding anything on Vodacom's website is insanity.

1G gig once off on voice lines is R149.00, not R275. The bundle will be valid for 30 days from the date of purchase.

No I mean if I buy R275 of AIRTIME and then buy 1GB does it still cost the same as buying it directly, but you've answered that indirectly.

My intention is to basically have a "Data Only" setup but with a few rands extra should I need to call.

So it's not like the contract data where the excess rolls over for 60 days?

What about the R275 airtime itself? How long is the window on that?

I have not bought through FNB, but it should cost the same as the networks/SP's determine the cost of the bundle. On contract also the bundle will be valid for 30 days from date of purchase. On data contracts the once off bundles you can buy are cheaper though. On a data contract for a 1gig once off you will pay R79.00 instead of R149.000 for a once off 1gig on a voice line.

I was under the impression it was 30 days, but then in the next month whatever remained was valid for another 30 days and used first before the new bundle was used.

I've always had data rolling over into the 31-60 day period.

Monthly data bundles yes. Once off is valid for 30 days from day of purchase.
