Contract ended. SIM disabled??

My contract has ended and did not renew it. MTN has now disabled my sim.
I want to keep the number and go to prepaid.
What do I do?

once a contract ends the sim is disabled and the number can not be used again....
You should have converted your contract to prepaid before it expired...
