Contract "extras"?

Hi all.
I am vaguely considering a new contract (after over a year of being free!!!) mostly because my BB9900 is now completely unable to make it through even 1/2 a day on a charge.
I see MTN has the iphone 6 at R499 on "My choice100" - my question is are there still additional charges like CLIP etc to be added on top of this?
Also, if I bought this phone cash from istore I would only get 1 year warranty unless I paid in another R799 for the extended care - whereas if I went on contract I would automatically have a 2 year warranty (right?)
BUT I get the impression the extended care is more comprehensive? Or not?

This really is a HUGE leap for me - I REALLY HATE typing on touchscreens (which is why I'm still on BB) and it will cost me about 5 x time per month than what I'm currently using in airtime, hence the agonizing and scrimping...

Just because you are complaining about the price and then getting a phone that is only expensive due to brand name.
The best place you can get the information you are looking for is to call them. Call 173 from your MTN phone.

Having made the HUGE mistake of porting to Telkom just under a month ago, I don't have an MTN phone.. and I went into a MTN store today but the queue wasn't moving at all so I eventually gave up and left. Hence this thread...

usually get ClIP for free...depending on your contract...Have a TOPUP 200 and MyChoice 100- CLIP is free on both...
