Contract or pre paid

My VC contract is due for upgrade in two weeks time. Should I upgrade, I'd probably like an iPhone or SG2 or should I just let the contract run out and keep my 1 ye old bb9780 and switch to pre paid. While the phone is nothing special, it still serves it purpose. I have an iPad and laptop, so dont need the smartest of phones. What do you think?

That's what I'd do - I've still got two Nokia's (one about 2 years, the other about 4 years old, on it's 2nd battery) that I'm keeping going until the batteries pack-up.
