Contract renewal soon - which phone or wait?

I can renew my contract in December. Should I or should I wait? Which phone should I get? Clearly I want GPRS, 3G, EDGE and HSDPA. Anything else?

Currently no handset manufactures have a HSDPA phone.HSDPA handsets will only be available early next year.

Guess they want to clear the xmas stock as usual. I've found it is best to wait till after ... So guess I will wait.

I will not renew a contract until number portability has come into affect, because then we should see some major jostling for customers and the prices will come down!

Wait. I'm due for upgrade in October already, and the phone I want (i-mate JASJAR) only comes out around Christmas..
