Contract sim replacement charge

MTN can you please explain to me why the heck I need to pay R135 to have my Sim card replaced, when your call center advised me to have it replaced due to me not being able to receive MMS's?

And how much is a prepaid sim? I'm always surprised how good deals prepaid folks get but us contract guys get shafted.
