PM r00i and tell him to put you on month2month.

Don't let iBurst renew your contract.

Mines will be up soon as well, please update us if you needed to do anything...

You automatically move to M2M with no action required.

Ronald, sorry, but I was advised otherwise. My contract also expires at the end of this month. Having iBurst Accounts' sloppy service in mind, I requested someone from the Retentions Dept to call me. I was told that, should I wish to renew, I don't have to do anything - the package that I'm currently on (Wireless2), will be renewed automatically. But should I wish to downscale or cancel, I have to inform Accounts. They do not send out reminders - it is up to the subscribers to remember their renewal dates and submit cancellations timeously. You can also change your package, e.g. from contract to month-to-month, using the iBurst website - access own account.

Please tell me you haven't signed anything....

No, I haven't, but for that matter, you only sign once and never again. One signature and you are in the claws of iBurst for life. It seems that people have a constant battle with iBurst, because debit orders get deducted even after they'd cancelled. For once in 24 months, everything is running smoothly with my contract / account. Changing my package at this point or cancelling it, might bring me back to all my problems I'd faced in the past. The fact is, that I am more than happy with their Wireless2 deal. And as far as customer support goes - who needs the HelpDesk or Accounts if Ronald and Gcebile are more than capable to escalate our queries!? Plus, e-mailing the support team on facebook also helped me a lot.

Just renewed my contract and opted to get a new modem. My reason for doing so is that I've never had any real problems with iburst. Plus now I can rock 2mbps speeds by using both of my modems :D Just need to get a router that supports 2 concurrent connections/modems/what ever:?

Once your 24 month contract is up it automatically goes month to month without any notification from the part of the subscriber.

I believe you more than the guy from Retentions who also told me that, if I'd downscale to Wireless 1, as I was originally signed up for, I would not receive the free mid-month top-up.
I went back to the iBurst website and found out he was wrong about that too!

"From 15 January 2011, all iBurst Wireless subscribers will automatically receive a free mid-month bandwidth top-up – doubling their monthly data"
