So sms'in UG to that desired number i get a replying saying upgrade is due on the 15th of this month, so anyways i go and visit a vodacom shop where i ask them if i can upgrade early, the 2months wasn't possible as i don't spend over r800 but she anyways says im able to do it 1 week before the actual date the sms sent me, anyways later on calling vodacom upgrades number (prefer to upgrade over the phone from vodacom, haven't had a issue before like that) and another lady telling me the exact same that i can do it 1 week before the proposed date on her system, which was btw the 16th for some reason and not the 15th like my sms.

So after a hectic weekend i decided to go and call them this morning, so when calling in ready to order my brand new bold 9900 on a talk 100 with a 2500+ pay in, i get told that she cannot upgrade my contact, furious now she top's it off with the system was also down to do upgrades, system problems happen yes fine but i would like to upgrade now, and how can vodacom store and a upgrades center person tell me i can and she is telling me i cant...

little frustrated if you know what i mean, im that close to a new phone....,

I signed a data/laptop contract for 36 months and after 24 months I checked on the Vodacom site and was told I could upgrade currently. I tried to upgrade - but was turned down as I was 12 months early .... even though the system said I was due.

It turns out their systems aren't always correct :/

PS I think MTN is better with regards to BB than Vodacom are. Apart from cheaper, better service and better coverage - their internet is usable anywhere and at a decent speed.

i hung up the phone on that lady and called another lady, who was very helpful and guided me through the whole process and i applied for my new bold, said to be delivered to my office on Wednesday so hopes up there, other than that slight problem i am very happy with vodacom in general, i complained to @vodacom on twitter at about 10am this morning, and lucky i came right in between but at about 12 afternoon a rep from vodacom reading my tweet contacted me (i have had a issue before, sure thats how they got my number) and asked if i was assisted and how he can help, very happy in that regard, service like that is awesome via twitter and general personal problem related service help is very good, so ill give that one to vodacom im very happy with that, overall contract wise im happy with vodacom just this morning didn't like to be told two different stories but i suppose the lady at the desk the first time wasnt too clued up...happens to the best of companies i suppose....

anyways thanks vodacom, lets hope that bb 9900 comes in on time :)

between the company i work for and vodacom they stuffed up my contract so badly i had to visit vodacom 8 times before i could finally upgrade.

vodacom even pretended to be helpful, saying since it was their fault, they would give me the 9900 on a R800+ a month package. when I could get a better deal at a vodashop......

finally after 2 months I got my 9900 on sunday...only to have BIS down yesterday and still not be able to use it....but thats just btw
