Hi

Are there any contracts on vodacom or mtn that ONLY give you 'free' airtime but no phone?

I heard sumwhere that I could get a R45 contract and receive R135 airtime from vodacom or R25 and receive R75 from MTN...

Could sum1 plz update this info..?

Thanks

My colleague signed an MTN contract TODAY for R35 with R105 airtime. And he took his own phone. I'll ask him for details and post tomorrow.

Buy a SmartUp voucher from Smartcall. It costs R999.It gives you R3240 airtime.Thats R135 airtime pm for 24 months AND NO CONTRACT.Visit www.smartcall.co.za for more info

Thats pricy:eek: ,R35 contract is more like it.R840 for R2520 worth of airtime and monthly payment, no hole in your pocket for a once off payment of R999. :p .

That's exclusive to Vodacom. Over the 24 months u get R1241 more than what u paid for. Not a bad deal but you have to deposit R1,999!! Where did u see R999?

My friend just got the R35 for R105 airtime and if you take that over 24 months you get R1680 more than what you paid for. The only thing is you ARE tied in for 24 months.

R2k is a lot to pay up front and R35 a month is much more manageable.

Vodacom offers no phone deals, discounted for 24months as well

Smartup product

It used to be R999, but the network cut the subsidy on hybrid contracts, so since 1/9/2006 it's been R1999. You can only keep your number on Smartup if it's a Smartcall number, dial *130*787# and it will tell you if you're on Smartcall. Further detail at:
http://www.smartcall.co.za/SmartUP.shtml

Thanks guys,

Is there a vodacom equivalent of MTN's R35 a month contract?

Thanks

Higher price

Vodacom, last time I checked, had a R135 airtime contract for just over R100 per month

why pay R100 for R135 when you could get 4x mtn R25 and get R300... Doesnt make sense
