Contract worker Notice period

According to employment law less than 6 months 1 week notice and 6 month to 1 year is 2 weeks.

I am giving notice just before 6 months e.g. 28 Sept. I started 1 April so my notice period is given before 6 months is completed but I will be leaving after 6 months and 2 days if it is a weeks notice.

\So is my notice period 1 week or 2?

you're on contract?

Then you're signed in for the 6/9/12 months.

There are ways out but it could cost you money.

If you are a permanent employee it's different & then you can look a notice periods.

1 year fixed term contract so it is like being permanent. This is not football. Normal labour law applies.
