Contractor downs tools at Kusile

Wonder if these guys know about SLA's for critical contracts?

Hell, if our service providers decided to stop providing a service due to a contractual dispute, they would have their a$$es handed to them in court due to breaking SLA T&C's!

Bloody hell...
Yes but its difficult to do that when you awarded the contract on condition of numerous side-payments and "personal contributions" that you want to keep out of the limelight...

And the white spaces are Jan van Riebeeck.

Had to include the link from last year where Tenova was fingered in the overpayment issues.

Also from another extract in Scorpio (Source): https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/art...tors-in-fresh-r75m-kusile-slush-fund-scandal/

That's great and all.

What's a bet absolutely nothing happens to any of these people, other than a potential firing?

Until these criminals actually end up in orange overalls, none of this means anything. And they won't.

Too many issues in one go. Even Eskom isn't that unlucky. Any idea what's really going on?
My theory is it one or all of the following:
  • Sabotage to try get a RET CEO back in at Eskom.
  • Revenge by the syndicates busy getting nailed for theft.
  • The unions are objecting to something
  • Gwede trying to get his power ships through again.
  • An attempt to force Nersa to grant their increase.

No disaster or no downing tool?
No "disaster strikes". It's just the usual corruption at Eskom we have all come to know and love. The headline makes it sound like everything has suddenly fallen apart. Sometimes mybb takes things too far. While in a bout of loadshedding isn't the time for that.

So, let's get in a white-owned contractor, not qualifying for BEE and AA, and let's see what happens. The country has nothing to lose in any event. The utility has nothing going for it in any event.
No, BEE is simply a front to enrich connected cadres. Has nothing to do with black or white. Rather look at what Solidarity did with their university where nobody was looking at black vs white but simply got the best one for the job.

I thought it as being quite apt and funny. But I see your point.

Off 3 times a day now. I fear for this country. The ANC may have actually ****ed things up proper this time, and by that I mean an irreversible collapse. Hope I'm wrong.
Unfortunately we are well past the point of no return here...

No matter what factors are taken into consideration here - three words are applicable: 'checks and balances' and there is no getting away from it - 27 years of brainless activity, maybe it must be accepted that the 'patient' is comatose by now and will NOT come out of it because the fcucking 'Doctors' are absent and have left the hospital a long time ago...
