K so 1st Nov. hard cap is happening. Does this mean that my ISP has breached my contract, and if so can i cancel it without paying any form of penalties?

PS. im currently with MWeb

depending on their contract you should be able to. however, most ISP contracts will make sure you have 0 rights. MWEB`s not an exception

what type of bandwidth do you get from MWEB? 3GB? If so, I believe MWEB will still be able to offer that at the same price. Check in your contract if they mention anything about unlimited local uncapped.... as they will no longer be able to provide that

Mweb 3GIG will drop from R329 to R299 and will be hardcapped.

Thnx but i want 2 use a local WISP. Uncapped and with known contention ratios. I wanna can ADSL for a while, if Telkom can pull a move like this who knows wot they try next

erMaC you dont have to use SAIX...that something you need to grasp. Using a local WISP is illegal and not only could it land you in prision (unlikely I know) but it will be less stable than any ADSL products. Most small WISP's use dsl for bandwidth and just multiplex it further....
