Now this happened over kik a sort of instant messaging with strangers to swap naughty photos type thing, lotsa fun just watch the ages as it can get a bit weird with 12 year old girls sending bikini pics.

Anyway I get this msg from a random ''girl'' saying she was a 14 year old transsexual, now I know I shouldn't have but I was curious because I didn't know what a Transsexual was so I replied asking. Well it turns out that one day when he(he's got male DNA so he's a male) was 6 years old he decided that he wanted to wear dresses and that he was a girl, parents said OK fine go for it. Now me being a modern man I can sort of understand, let the kid experiment and find his way.

I then mentioned that since he's hitting puberty he's gonna have a rough couple of years to which I got the reply that astounded me, he's gonna start taking hormones soon to stop his development. Now this completely threw me so I pressed him further and then wished I hadn't, apparently this kid has ''had sex with men'' and ''seen therapists'' and this is what he wants to do!

I'm sorry but a 14 year old kid should not be making the decision to chemically castrate himself! WTF is wrong with modern society that this kinda thing could happen!? And how could the parents and ''therapists'' possibly agree to this!?

Before people get jumpy and say everyone has the right to choose their sexuality, I fully 100% agree to that but not irreversibly at 14 stopping their natural growth!

TLDR: Modern Society letting everyone do exactly as the please to spare their feelings is going to **** the human race.

Look morally I would have an issue, but do we have a right to say its wrong or right? I dont know.
I would like to think that in future he or she would let any potential sexual partners know though

The people looking after him have that right and should use it, if he wants to be a girl then that's absolutely fine, but letting him decide at 14 just blows my mind. What does anyone know at 14?

Is taking the hormones that young legal?

I honestly have no idea but if the patient is consenting and is prescribed by a doctor then probably...

How though?

That was a bit of a melodramatic statement, ignore that bit;)

As you say, when you're 14 you don't know much, maybe he isn't actually going to be able to take the hormones so soon.

I knew I was gay at 14. I suppressed it for years, of course, but I still knew it and look at me today.

Sure, maybe making life-altering decisions at that age isn't the best idea, but that's for him to deal with. Maybe he's just very sure of what he wants. I highly doubt he'll change his mind later in life if this is what he feels like now.

I was thinking more that hormones at such a young, altering stage of life might affect his health.

How? Not trying to be funny but what made you realise it?

I'd always been a bit different to the other boys while growing up, but once I hit 14 and went to boarding school where I was locked up with about 80 other boys and developed sexual fantasies involving them and not the girls I went to class with, I started recognising it for what it was. I kicked against it for a long while and convinced myself it was just my hormones acting up, but deep down I knew exactly what it was.

I think that in general your sexual orientation is something you recognize early on in your life. Most gay people I've spoken to claim to have known it from a young age.

gender re-assignment can only be done legally if a psychologist or psychiatrist have signed off on it after extensive therapy and counselling, and to my knowledge only if the person is of legal age. I doubt if a 14 year old would be allowed to do this. Unless this person is maybe from Thailand.
