Hey guys

If you have a sim laying around that is on contract and the airtime keeps bundling on. There is now an app that will help you convert the airtime to cash in your bank account.

Check out the link:

I have been using it the last couple of months and it works great.

Currently only works on Android though.

Check it out.

I was also sceptical at first. But I have received the cash every time I have done it. I think the lack of reviews is due to it not being well known, and I think they only started somewhere at the end of last year. So it should be still in its growing phase.

So you transfer R100 airtime to him, he gives you R50. Nice profit margin.

Its better than it just keep bundling up. At least you get something back if you dont use it. Cant expect to get back everything. But to each their own.

"Why do I only get 50% ?
We only get back +/- 65% from the service providers. Since we payout 50% that leaves us with 15% to cover our running costs. We don't charge any fees and the app is 100% free to use."

And why can't we sell it directly to the service providers for 65%?

Am I seeing this right or does this basically use your airtime to send sms's to people from your phone?

I ended up trying it to see.
got R50 for R100

I'll see what my account says month end before trying it again :)
Interesting. I wonder how they got the deal with the service providers to get 65% back.

I don't have that much airtime going to waste but I'll try it out at some stage...

Yea, I have not suggested it to anyone I know as yet. I first want to see what my billing says end of the month.

Interesting.. I have over 1000 minutes which I don't use. However, MTN doesn't seem to allow you to go over 1000 minutes so each month I lose the new month's allocation.

When they come out on iOS I may give it a try

It'll only let you sell actual airtime, not free minutes, as far as I can tell.
