Good morning all. I trust you're all well.
I have a ceiling pull chain fan, and I would like to convert it to a smart one.
How would I exactly wire it up? Don't have neutral in the light switch box, but I think one can pull a neutral from the fan down to the light 2x2 light switch box. Thanks!

You can use the Aqara T1 switch, no neutral, to control the fan.

You got two chains, fan and light. You will need two switches and preset fan to a prefer speed

Save yourself the hassle and headache.

Buy a Sonoff iFan.

Set the pull chain to the highest speed and then remove it.

Wire in the Sonoff and job done.

Leave the light switch on permanently and stick it down with sellotape if you need to. As far as I know it’s a legal requirement to have the switch there still.

Just buy a smart fan, they are not that expensive. Save yourself time and frustration. That thing you’re planning to Jimmy rig will fall off and decapitate you. Not worth it.

Came here to suggest the same, did this with one of my dumb fans in the house and it works well and easily, would recommend this as well

I have not found an off the shelf fan that is already smart.

A remote does not make it smart.
