Convert iTunes music to mp3

How would you do it?
Friend has 40 gigs and wants to transfer to Samsung.

Don't the latest Samsungs support AAC natively? Also, is all of his music really aac and not mp3 already?

What format is the music in now? As long as it's not copy protected they can do it from within iTunes just by right clicking.

iTunes stores it's music in the Music folder (My Music in Windows). In there will be an iTunes folder, and all the MP3's will be there. Just copy and paste.
