Converting 3D videos to 2D

I took some 3D videos on my HTC EVO 3D but the problem now is I want to share them but some of my colleagues don't have 3D capable. Is it possible to convert them to 2D without a significant loss in quality?

I doubt if the codecs exist to do that. Completely different technology.

It should be quite simple, but depending on the native 3D format when you 2D it you will either half the framerate or half the resolution. Try google for it
