Hey Folks,

I am in the beginning stages of wanting to convert my Outside room into a Bachelor flat to rent out.

Its basically a single 10m2 room, with an en-suite shower and toilet. Shower is next to the toilet divided by a wall.

I need to install a little kitchen area, I was thinking to install a small unit with taps, sink, draws and a cupboard
in the bathroom area.

I need to chase some plugs, was just thinking 1 fixture with 2 plugs on it in the corner of the room.

Also have to paint the room, is White the best to go with?

Currently the room has these Glass Slat windows that tilt, I think it would be best to change these to
Aluminium which can get closed and locked properly.

I don't really know what to put in the room, but on the other hand I don't want to clutter it too much.

This is what I have going so far in the model, any feedback would be awesome.

I would then also like to convert my Double Garage into a granny flat to rent out. But that's after this room is done,
and I have a paying tenant.

weird, I watched this clip this morning

One thing I'd suggest is the cupboards facing the bed should be extended to the floor. Tenant will need storage space.

P.S. what area do you live in?

I'm just worried about taking too much floor space, room is only 10m2.

Unless i make a narrow 500mm cupboard from floor to ceiling, thats maybe a plan.

I am in the Durban south area, close to malls etc.

That's an idea. Agreed you don't want to take too much floor space so a narrow floor to ceiling might work, just a place to hang a jacket and pair of pants, maybe a couple of shirts.
