Skill issueNot to mention the constant mini disconnects for gaming servers... Which is great when you playing extraction shooters.
its not getting any better though. Infact latency got higher, but the results are the same :QUOTE]Latency will always potentially increase when an express path fails, after the change we saw no loss though?
Max out in Q1 dang! Catching up on it now.It was super disappointing![]()
Yeah insaneMax out in Q1 dang! Catching up on it now.
Maybe it's your obs settings not sure, haven't watched your channel. Post a link to a video.I know it is probably not a Cool Ideas issue; however, I have ****ing tried everything to try and think what could possibly be causing this.
I KNOW there are others with the same issues, multiple ISP's as well, and of course, it is completely random.
I am not able to watch twitch at all at random and people are not able to watch my stream due to literally opening a stream and then it buffers for 10 seconds, plays for 2, buffers for 10, plays for 2 - SOMETIMES there is a stroke of luck where there is not a single issue, however, majority of the time it is unwatchable, no matter what im running, what browser, nothing.
When I stream, people are also not able to watch my stream as they have the same issue. I thought it was my stream in particular at first, but then people from EU, NA, or wherever else in the world are having 0 issues, and again, sometimes, most of the ZA viewers have no issues. It's so random, and I'm going to rip my hair out because I just want stuff to work or try to make it work, and perhaps someone here or in Cool Ideas can help me spot the issue or see what could possibly be wrong
Some extra information, I can watch any YouTube Stream with no issues, even at 4k, same with other people.
I can watch any KICK stream (who the hell watches kick anyway) with no issue, so I know it's Twitch, I just want to know WHAT the issue is
Hope someone can help or direct me in a way to see what the hell is causing this.
Getting the same issues. When I go to watch streams, some are perfect. However some are unwatchable and are stuck buffering. Doesn't matter if they're local or international.I know it is probably not a Cool Ideas issue; however, I have ****ing tried everything to try and think what could possibly be causing this.

I'm using Afrihost LTE and can confirm that I do not struggle with buffering or any kind of drops even during the times when everyone is complainingI know it is probably not a Cool Ideas issue; however, I have ****ing tried everything to try and think what could possibly be causing this.

I am with Afrihost with 100/100mbps , and I can atest to this. I sometimes have constant buffering on this stream and others across twitch, (Kick and Youtube I have no issues). Sometimes enabling Cloudflare fixes the issue and other times with it enabled it does not assist with the constant buffering.I know it is probably not a Cool Ideas issue; however, I have ****ing tried everything to try and think what could possibly be causing this.

I have the same issue when trying to watch twitch using my fiber connection, when I switch over to mobile data the issue is gone. Youtube and KICK streams are also fine for me, on a CISP 50/50 lineI know it is probably not a Cool Ideas issue; however, I have ****ing tried everything to try and think what could possibly be causing this.

Would blocking CDNs such as Cloudfront, Akamai, or other CDNs not cause issues with other services/websites that use Akmai for example such as Facebook?HI all, we have troubleshooted the twitch issues in the past, and found that this is due to some CDN's where the content is getting served from.
This is unfortunately out of our control, as we cannot steer traffic away from a particular CDN
I tested this now as well, and watching Kick, it streams from Cloudfront most of the time, and works fine
I then tested twitch and also got Cloudfront with No issues.
I tried a few streams and eventually got a Akamai stream where I noticed a lot of buffering, this would also be from Akamai directly, and not from our On-net Cache (expectedas im not using our DNS server)
But its dependent on where the content is being served from.
Some workarounds we have suggested and seen working is to just block the problematic IP range (on your router using IP FIlter) you get using IPVFOO or Resource monitor, so that you always just get the CDN you want, which in this example would be cloudfront performing the best so far.
As stated below, it also doesn't seem to be ISP specific.
Thanks for taking the time to reply, again, i figured it's not a Cool Ideas thing and it's so insanely random...But please feel free to share links of Streams you found issues on, so that we can do comparrative testing to see if there are any similarities.
Much appreciated
Only if you don't block the range, if you just block the IP address/ or the multiple ones you pick up, then it should be isolated to just twitch, as cloudfront/ akamai serving other platforms would be from a different IPWould blocking CDNs such as Cloudfront, Akamai, or other CDNs not cause issues with other services/websites that use Akmai for example such as Facebook?
Only a pleasure, and I completely understand the frustration, especially if you are the streamer. Thanks for taking the time to reply, again, i figured it's not a Cool Ideas thing and it's so insanely random...
Frustrating for me and more also frustrating that I know my audience couldnt really watch so figured i give it a try and ask.
Thank you, again.
