I will be renting a new residence in Parkmore in September. The house is covered by Openserve and MTN fibre networks. I am trying to decide between going with Cool Ideas or Supersonic for fibre.
Cool Ideas over Openserve offers 40/20 for R799 and 100/50 for R1219 (data only packages).
Cool Ideas over MTN offers 50/50 for R1009 and 100/100 for R1119 (data + MTN line)
Supersonic over Supersonic's own line (I think this is MTN itself) offers 50/50 for R1049 and 100/100 for R1249.
Price wise Cool Ideas over MTN is the best option for monthly rentals, though it has a R2280 installation cost. For the other two options installation is indicated as being free.
For me price is not everything. Network stability, sustained speeds and customer service also matter. On these factors I am unable to decide or get enough information. Mybroadband's recent speed tests suggest Supersonic is best, but if I remember correctly Cool Ideas was not far behind and latency on Cool Ideas is lower.
Any advice on which ISP and/or network would be better would be appreciated.
