Cooler Master CM690 vs. Centurion RC690 vs. etc.

Wondering what case to get.

I'm tending to side with the CM690, awesome case, and looks slightly better. Also, the inside seems to differ slightly in that it has a nice and easy-to-use HDD rack where drives seem to slot in towards the other side panel, whereas with the RC690 they seem to slot in towards the front panel.

Any input?

Any similarly-priced cases I should consider?
 
if you are on a tight budget I will advice you to go for the CM690
 
I think 40% of people getting PC"s now have that CASE... I almost got it aswell... Sometimes Im kind of dissapointed I didnt, case I got now is smaller... And well my hands are kind of big :P
 
I will never buy a case that isn't an Antec. Apart from their unrivalled build quality (fact) and sensible design, their customer support is great. Added to that is the fact that I far prefer their more simple designs to other flashy cases. They are also geared towards silence, which is I really value. Of course the equivalent Antec case of the 690 would probably be double the price... My SOLO was R400 second hand, so I'm happy.
 
IMHO From the Raidmax cases I have seen, they have to have the best build quality. Very solid cases. Pretty heavy but solid.
 
Personally, I couldn't fault the build quality of the CM690.

Haven't built into "medium to high-end" Antecs, so wouldn't know any different though.
 
CoolerMaster are excellent for what you get. Antec - is one of THE best.

I have 3 cases @ the moment: Antec P180, CoolerMaster CM690 and Raidmax Smilodon.

All pretty decent cases but the Antec takes the cake.

I also don't like those cases; they're ugly and noisy. The Pxxx cases, on the other hand.

I can assure you that most decent cases (Antec, CM) will have far superior build quality to Raidmax. Raidmax have their place, but that is garish looks, not silence or build quality.

I think the Antec attention to detail is what tips it. They don't fall for gimmicks like screwless hard drive racks, but they do have very useful things like hard drive suspension. Solid steel throughout with sound damping on the walls. My mid-range case weighs about 12kg if I remember correctly.
