Was not sure where to post this, CA or OT, but I had to get in done before News24 fix their error!!!

How the hell did this guy carry 7 tons of dagga ???

Price of dagga is now R1/kg ???

A good laugh...

Johannesburg - A hitchhiker was arrested with 7 290kg of dagga in Butterworth on Saturday, Eastern Cape police said.

Captain Jackson Manatha said police were patrolling the N2 into Butterworth when they saw the man hitchhiking with a big black bag.

The police stopped and searched the bag and found dagga with a street value of R7 290.

The man was on his way to Khobodi Village near Kei River, Manatha said.

He was expected to appear in the Butterworth Magistrate's Court on Monday.

On a more serious note, the majority of local dagga is grown in the old Transkei/Ciskei areas (also Lesotho and Swaziland).

Must have been a better quality black bag than them ones wot u buy in the supermarkets.
With a value of only R1 per kg it hardly seems worth all the blood, sweat & tears involved in producing it.

I wonder how much of it will actually end up in the SAPS evidence room.
 
But surely dagga is much lighter than other stuff... so seven tons of dagga is not as heavy as say seven tons of bricks!

I'm not sure what's funnier... A hitcher carrying 7 tons of weed (OP), a black bag that holds 7 tons (nightjar), 7 tons of weed weighing less that 7 tons of bricks (Garyvdh) or the fact that police know the value to be exactly R7290,00... not around R7300,00 or R7500,00, oh no, exactly R7290,00. LOL
 
Man 7 tons of weed would be like a 10 ton truck load in volume, compressed. This dude should have just ripped off his clothes and exposed the red S on his leotard and flew off :wtf:

That's beacuse the cops sold it immediately after they confiscated it. Have to supplement their income somehow ..

Hahaha... Love to know what it was 'tho... The cheap and nasty stuff or the really expensive stuff. A friend of mine used to pay around R600 for a baggie and English was optional after she blazed.
