Probably thought the warrant expired :D

I'm curious as to how they knew there was a warrant out for his arrest. I've had documents certified at the police station countless times and usually the officer would just check if its a and exact copy, stamp it and sign. Never had there been a situation where my details were first entered into their system, etc.

It emerged that Wazimeni had been staying at the same address in Khayelitsha’s Town Two since 1991.

According to the State, police stopped looking for Wazimeni in 1994

What stopped them from arresting him back then?

why did they check him on the system. they usually just stamp with the bored look on their face. but then again they probably do that all day. lik ethe graveyard shift.

hahaha, left his house just to certify some docs, ended up behind bars. What a turn of events :D
