BRYANSTON – The police’s Crime Intelligence Unit uncovered two drug laboratories in Johannesburg houses on Wednesday.

The first laboratory was discovered in Mount Street, Bryanston, where a man and his wife were arrested.

A second laboratory was bust in Douglasdale, where the man’s brother was apprehended.

Police said the clandestine laboratories were manufacturing the drug Mandrax.

Drugs and equipment seized in both raids were estimated to be worth around R100 million.

It now appears officers are inquiring about a third location in the area, which they believe acts as another drug laboratory.

I tell you what, it would solve 90% of drug related crime problems and save the country a kuk-load of money ... so I'm all for legalising "the shyte"

Put them against a wall and shoot them. How many lives have they destroyed and reaped the benefits therefrom and the damage will carry on for years to come through addiction and further crime.

nobody forces drug addicts to become drug addicts.

How many lives have alcohol suppliers destroyed i wonder? Personally my dad was an alcoholic yet it can be bought legally.

It's an issue you can only fix one way, copa has spoken about many times, legalize it. I never used to think so but rather destroy lives legally, at least the government can make money off it :D.

Busting a few oke here and there isn't really doing much, look at mexico it's full scale war there and guess what? The drug okes are still running the show. Thousands killed yearly due to a war that cannot be won.

Can you imagine the tax the government could of made if this was legalised?

Just so funny :D :D

Sorry only an afrikaans article.

A laboratory technician has allegedly used the University of Pretoria's (UP) name to buy chemicals to allegedly "cook" drugs

Although not the university nor the Falcons wanted to disclose the technician's name , the Beeld reveals that he is Ntsoereng Jonas (51) of the UP Department of Chemistry.
( Google Translate.. oi )

+500.
If you see how it destroys the life of someone dear to you then you will understand. It not about a drug addict making the choice, but its about drugs being designed to be absolutlely addictive in order for the addict to spend everything they have in order to get a fix just for someone to have lots of money. Not fair.
Maybe a fair punishment is to give them some of their own 'medicine'

AAaaah here we go again, comparing alcohol to hard drugs like cocaine and heroin

EDIT: Before flaming me for this, I ****ing hate coke heads and heroin junkies. Imagine if it was legally available, and the same amount of people who drink alcohol use those drugs. Wouldn't that be pretty?
