Durban - Two police officers were shot and wounded during a robbery in Bulwer, in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, police said on Monday.

Captain Thulani Zwane said the officers were responding to a shop robbery on Sunday afternoon, when they were confronted by 15 armed men.

“On arrival, two constables were attacked and shot by the suspects who were still at the scene. The two constables were shot in their legs and their firearms were taken,” Zwane said.

“The suspects took an undisclosed amount from the shop as well as airtime vouchers and chocolates before they fled in their getaway Colt bakkie.”

As the group fled the scene, they hijacked a second bakkie. Both vehicles were abandoned later.

Some of the stolen goods and cash was recovered. No arrests were made.

KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Lieutenant-General Mmamonnye Ngobeni condemned the attack on the officers. - Sapa

Eish.
Hope the cops get better soon and the robbers get gangrene in their testicles.

WTF Two cops take on an armed gang of 15! I am happy to hear they are still alive. Welcome to the NEW South Africa. God bless you all.

Please, lets not blow this out of proportion. Sad as it may be, it was an isolated incident. The cops should have been better trained to deal with this unfortunate case. Wish them a speedy recovery.

:wtf:

I don't think training was the issue here. 2 cops were up against 15 scumbags!

Very isloated incident, 15 robbers with the option to murder two police folk, they shot them in the legs and fled. hmmm very isolated. Normally those cops would be dead.

So as much as you mean it to be something else you are spot on in terms of cold blooded murder was avoided by 15 armed criminals when they could easily have murdered the two cops. Very Very isolated i must say and as odd as it sounds perhaps this is the NEW SA where criminals don't murder or do their best to avoid murdering people.

Isolated in terms of the crime you must live in another dimension, isolated in terms of the cops being alive, well yes sir spot on.
