In Chikane's case, he has indicated that he is not interested in prosecution, but that he wants full disclosure on the attempt on his life.

A pity the cops did not take part in the TRC process where they would have received the ammensty.

The case is related to attempts to poison the Rev Frank Chikane, who is now the director-general of the presidency.

If he were now just a mere mortal, we would probably not have heard anything about it.

The TRC happened a long time ago. Why have they dragged this thing on so long. The ANC seem to enjoy reminding everyone about the struggle on a daily basis. Are they looking for votes/sympathy again?

Not necessarily. Not everyone got amnesty. Can't say I've heard of any ANC/PAC/UDM/AZAPO person getting prosecuted - have you? Is it one-sided?
