To the pro guys here, how do you deal with copyright? There are loads of information on the tubes about registering images with the copyright people, if you're American. How does it work in S.A.?

Copyright is automatic but if you want to register it you need to do so at cipc. http://www.cipc.co.za/Copyright_RegProcedure.aspx

R510 a pop though is bloody expensive IMO considering you can do a batch (as many as you can upload in an hour long session) in the US for $35 iirc. I'm going to start copyrighting my archives soon, but via the US Copyright office.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised by that too. Photography is an expensive pursuit already.

What I'm really interested in is the legal ramifications of not registering. I listened to last weeks twip where they were discussing this. Seems it's much better to have registered images if you ever end up in court (in the US). Is this the same everywhere? And to that end, does it matter if your images are registered in a different country to where legal action is taken?
