Core 2 Duo Motherboards

Hehe I just got a new core 2 duo system this week. Got the Asus P5b m/b (non-sli) with the core 2 duo 6600. The system is so dam fast! Pitty my broadband isn't!

BAD AXE II with SLI?

the badaxe board does sli now, as I posted in another thread a few days back, nvidia have lifted the restriction they had on intel chipsets not supporting sli (it was nvidia's driver that didnt allow it, not the board not being physically capable)

as such, the badaxe is a pretty good board. can do crossfire and sli now, 8 sata etc etc.

Can you tell me where to find this information. Becuase I have a Bad Axe 2 board with 2 Nvidia 8500GT, by mistake(long story) and I was told that I have to change to ATI crossfire this board does not support SLI?

Off the top of my head the only other SLI C2D board I can think of is the Asus Striker Extreme. It'll cost you tho. I should know, I have one myself.

Very good. You get what you pay for. Altho it could do better on the overclocking side. But with increasingly better BIOS it's getting there.

If you want to do some serious overclocking tho, you'd be better off getting the Asus Commando based on the Intel 965 chipset. Same features as the Striker but without SLI.
