Core needs to take a serious look at their pricing leading up to the silly season.

The pricing strategy for the new range of iPods amounts to rape:mad:, particularly on the higher end models. This level of gouging can only lead to a big dip in sales, and then even higher prices!

I know but why would they change now? They're renowned gougers.

As far as I'm concerned if you can get an ipod cheaper through have2have or wantitall (and iirc you can) then go for it. :)

BTW - nice chart! One qn though - do the SA prices include VAT?

EDIT - Where did you get the iPhone prices from?

Yep VAT incl.

Contrary to all evidence showing otherwise I assumed that a $399 iPod Touch would cost the same as a $399 iPhone;).

For fairness sake since the US prices are without sales tax shouldn't the local ones be ex. vat?

As far as the pricing for the iPhone it's not a bad way to guestimate - the UK prices also correlate.
 
What are the import possibilities ? Can i order from Apple in the States and get it shipped to me via credit card. I have a import licence and looking at the prices i can buy 2 x iMax 20" for the price of 1 24" here.

Nice chart.... it always feel that we are getting ripped off and we get the stuff later then most of the countries
