Core2Duo E6400 Very slow

I had this issue before.

The Intel ICH8R I/O controller hub on the P965 does not support IDE at all and only SATA so motherboards have another IDE controller on the motherboard for backwards compatibility.

You must install the JD Micron Raid Controller software from your install CD to enable it's DMA and busmastering features otherwise it will default to slomo polled I/O.

Well what did the diagnostics tell you once you'd made the change? Could we have another post of the results?

Although it is way better, i tested it against my machine to rip and burn a dvd and i realised it should still improve.
