So I have started an online store and registered with a few suppliers. Corex being one of them.
All my other suppliers gave me link to an xml, csv or api file that I can import to my shop.
But Corex only sends me price list.
Is there a way I can get an xml from them or somewhere else?

I can create a csv file but still need to manually update it every few hours. It is such a pain, I have not even loaded a single product from them.

What is your store built with? You say you can create a csv file from their supplied pricelist, is it not possible to create some sort of import function for this? Willing to help if I can

I am using Shopify.
The problem with a csv is that I will have to update it everyday with new stock levels.
This will take me an hour or 2 everyday. Considering I work full-time and run the website that is just not an option.
Unless there is a way to automate it.

That's what I'm saying. I haven't worked with Shopify before, but I'm sure there should be some way to create an import. I'll dig a bit and see if I can help

Ok, so Shopify does have pricelist import functionality. However, you are using multiple suppliers, so I think those pricelists would have to be combined into a single pricelist in order to import, otherwise you would have to do multiple imports anyway.

"If you choose to import your price lists, then each product variant that you want to import needs to have a barcode or SKU listed for it in your Shopify store. The import process uses the SKU or barcode to match the product variants listed in the CSV file to those in your store."

I'm not sure how you handle the products from the various suppliers. Do you use their SKUs? If so, how would you ensure that there isn't crossover between SKUs from the various suppliers?

Other suppliers give me an xml I can use.
So those import just fine.
Looks like I will need to just sit and manually create each product for CoreX and create my own descriptions and upload images for everything.
It's a lot of work but so be it.

How about a script to scrape the images and product info from their site based on SKU? This will allow you to build your own XML file for initially importing the products. At this point you have their products in your store.
There after we have another script that runs daily (or however often you receive an updated pricelist) that matches products based on SKU and updates the pricing accordingly via the Shopify API (and possibly remove products that don't have stock?).
If new products are picked up in the supplied pricelist (SKU does not exist in shop), send an email or trigger the initial import script again.

You start by giving me the pricelist and an example of an xml file that is correctly importing already ;)

Off topic: An oddity that I encountered on their site. From the products menu, some of the products are displayed on their site, e.g. Synology, whereas some of the others, e.g. SanDisk takes the user directly to the SanDisk site
