Corolla Quest 1.8 Excessive Fuel Consumption

So a bit of an update - I traded it in for a Starlet 1.5 Xi -manual which is a pleasure to drive. The petrol lasts a lot longer :cool: Averaging around 6.5L/100km.

I have done some research and there is something about the oxygen sensor being faulty. It won't show you but will cause a high mix of fuel. The car is very nippy.

What can I try besides trading in for a suzuki swift or baleno....? We Buy Cars offered me a smack in the face 195k and are selling them for 250k.

Definitely something wrong. I currently drive a Corolla 1.8 Exec Auto (2007) and get 8.0L/100km stop/start daily driving.
