I'm looking to dump some money into a medium-term investment, and I've been looking really hard at the Coronation range of funds, specifically the Capital Plus fund.

Anyone have any experience, perhaps not so much with the specific fund, but rather Coronation itself as a business and fund manager? I'll be investing directly with them rather than through my broker, and it looks pretty straight forward from what I can see.

Thanks

The Sunday Times Top 100 Companies, which acknowledges the best-performing businesses on the JSE, based on shareholder returns over the past five years, has announced the 2013 winners at the award banquet held on Tuesday night at the Sandton Convention Centre.
Coronation Fund Managers scooped the coveted title as South Africa's top company, Business Leader of the Year was awarded to Michael Jordaan, CEO of FNB and the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Cyril Ramaphosa.

Company seems solid and isnt going anywhere - they are overvalued in my(and many other peoples) opinion though.

If you are looking for a low cost investment have you thought about passive investment? Satrix or ETFSA?

Thanks Freaksta. I have two Satrix investments that I feed on a monthly basis that I am very happy with for what it is (40 and Divi), but I'm looking for something that I can pump a lump sum into and forget about for the next 4-5 years.

Cool, you can also lumpsum passive investments but you've obviously considered that! Maybe just compare fees to Alan grey or the like, otherwise as I said solid company!

I would rather buy a index fund as there is no guarantee that Coronation will be anything in the future.Past performance is not a reflection of future performance.

Just double check Coronations fund fees etc. Last I looked they were among the most expensive.
