Hi Guys,

I have acquired all the Star Wars films, and would like to re watch them (Only saw them when I was younger).
Can someone recommend the correct order to watch them in?
Some Websites suggest the chronological order, while others from Episode 1 onwards...

Suggestions to get the best experience?

Thanks :)

IV: A New Hope
V: The Empire Strikes Back
VI: Return of the Jedi

Throw others in the bin.
Set bin on fire.

Actully Episode III is OK if you're a real fan, but I and II are complete ****.

Unless you feel like watching 8-9 hours of wacky Disney-type characters, diplomacy and cheesy love stories. Then by all means watch them all.

If you much watch them all, go in the order they came out: IV, V, VI, I, II, III. If you try going chronologically (starting from I), you'll be so sick of the crap by the time you get to the good ones that you'll probably give up, or not enjoy them as much.

well its up to you ...

if you want to watch it in the order they where made its

IV: SW: A New Hope
V: The Empire Strikes Back
VI: Return of the Jedi
I: The Phantom Menace
II: Attack of the Clones
III: Revenge of the Sith

but if you want the full story then its
I: The Phantom Menace
II: Attack of the Clones
III: Revenge of the Sith
IV: SW: A New Hope
V: The Empire Strikes Back
VI: Return of the Jedi

n like TJ99 said ... if you start from I you might not make it to the really good ones!

I recently did them all in story line order, so 1 to 6.

let me tell you this for free, i wish I hadnt.

I have always claimed to not be a fan. I have seen all of them already, the first 3 when I was a kid, then the fake 3 when they came out.

after sitting though all 6, and trying my best to watch objectively, i am still not a fan. there are logic flaws all around, the main plot is weak to say the best, the villain is over powered and should not loose. Sith loose because they want to loose not because of a mistake or because love conquers all or some such.

watch the first 3, and the last hour of episode 3. leave the rest.

The only thing loose will be your bowel movements if you watch the "new trilogy".

Watch them from oldest to youngest. The new trilogy is only interesting if you have contextual information from the old trilogy. The new trilogy is mostly lousy by itself, but there are a few epic moments separated by hours of meh.

What do you mean correct order? You watch them as in order which they were made. Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

They're all called Star Wars. I think you mean A New Hope first.

Watch ep4 through 6. Then go back for the prequels.

Episode 1 onwards is chronological?

Yes, but not recommended.

This is the best order.

There is also a fan made "unspecial edition edit". Main difference being "Han Shot first".

I see what you did there ;)

I agree though. You can even ignore the prequels completely. They were crap.

Jar jar Binks

Shudder...
