Why E-tolls aren't dead yet

The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa) believes that corruption, or the diversion of funds to areas where it should not be going, is probably the reason government hasn’t shut down E-tolls.

“We believe the continued operation of the Gauteng e-tolls, which only around 15% of motorists are contributing toward, has little to do with the search for a new funding mechanism,” says Outa CEO Wayne Duvenage.

Who are these 15% fools? Can't be just rentals.. Company cars?

Or is it the Bakwena users?

"Probably" is such an understated and underwhelmed word to use in this case. Of fu**ing course corruption and a corrupt government launched the eTolls and is keeping it alive. They are just not yet stealing the amounts they thought they would.

And in other news water has been found to be wet
and the Sky is blue,
the ANC is Corrupt, how about you...

and I think the actual reason is due to the airtight contacts Kapsh paid the ANC to keep this garbage afloat.
but then again, you get what you voted for, and you voted ANC, so why complain.

youll vote ANC now as well.

we all know Etolls is corrupt and ridiculous greed on display,

but hey, Vote ANC comrades, give them another chance, Here's R100 Comrade, Vote ANC!!!!

no sympathy honestly, you had so many chances to get it right, but you kept voting for these creatures.
so what must I say?

Well etoll is a big indication of corruption.

The true nature of the ANC.

Even failed states like Zimbabwe keeps the predatory elite living like kings, the dignity of their people is only a concern in a western paradigm.

Unsubstantiated claims of corruption.. you’d think after nearly a decade they’d have a paper trail but nope. No better than people in Soweto.. just saying.

Mostly Bakwena users. As you cannot get a Bakwena tag anymore they give you a SANRAL one.

So you either have the choice of waiting 30mins to get through the Bakwena Tollgate in peak hour traffic in the morning or use the e-tag lane
