Corsa B altenator upgrade

Hi all,

I want to upgrade my corsa B altenator, i dont have AC so the OEM alt is weak , can i use the 2.0 astra 8v altenator or 1.6 8v?

Are they even larger ?

Would they even fit?

Mostly a toyota guy , not opel

What rating is your current one? I would look for the one fitted to the GSI of the B or even the Corsa C GSI, engines are basically the same except for the larger engine displacement, I think you wont have any fit issues with those, the 2L Astra has a different engine unless you go for the old Astra which had a similar engine.

I assume since the Corsa C has aircon, power steering electric windows and other extra features it will have a slightly powerful alternator.
