hi All,
Yeah, I invested in a 1998 Corsa light (project), well, brakes......FARK
Done all pads and shoes, while I was busy, replaced seals in rear slave cylinders. Bleed, bleed and more bleeed..... brakes keep getting air. Damn, replace master cylinder, wow, brakes are there but **** low.
Search the net....zip, zero, nil.....f@k@ll. booster pipe leaking-replace. still no happiness. well, at this point the brakes hold but way low pedal. Pedal adjustment, where the fark? Adjust "free play" on pedal.........another mission.
Remove clutch pedal - 3 nuts - 2 on firewall and one under steering (only loosen this one a couple of turns)
Now you can get to removing the brake pedal. this is the only place to set the "free play" on the pedal 15mm spanner? Damn again.
Now the brakes are 100% .
I hope this will help someone in future

Wait
You just joined the MyBB forum and your first message is this post

Who are you and why did you create a 2nd account to post about an Opel? @Rouxenator ?

Huh, no I only have this one account. AND, as I explained, I just bought this car as a project. IF there is another "Bandiet" the forum does not warn you.
I am from Meyerton and have always maintained all my vehicles myself.
My last was a Ford Territory, currently a Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Opel is a little project to keep busy.
