I have a 2001 1.4i Corsa Light. Just replaced Clutch, Pressure Plate & Release Bearing (LUK), now the vehicles starts up when your clutch is pressed down.
Prob 1: I do find some gears but the reverse lights stay on even though vehicle is not in reverse.
Prob 2: Wheels keep turning even in neutral with foot of clutch and reverse light still on

We have have set the gear linkage to spec
Oil Level is 100%
Cable 100%
Reason for replacing is Clutch Plate one Tension Spring came out (Fong Kong Parts)
Did not open the gearbox did not see use of that for broken clutch

I'm doing this myself with some help don't have monies for specialist or mechanic

Any help will be much appreciated

What does this mean? No key just clutch in and engine starts?

Check the wiring to the reverse light, most probably a short somewhere, also check the reverse switch on top of the gearbox, easily tested with a multimeter.

Mine does that as well, i saw that when I was changing CV joints, i did nothing about it, they rotate and when you stop them they stop, i never thought much of it and gas never bothered me.

You messed up the gear links when putting the gearbox back on.

There isn't much to mess up with the gear linkages, they are cables, pull out from the selector, remove the gearbox do your thing with the clutch, gearbox back on and hook them up.

With the ignition on does not matter what gear or neutral the wheels keep spinning only when the clutch is engaged the wheels can be stopped. Wiring checked but car stays in reverse switch removed and checked working 100%.

Please try to answer the questions posed to you as comprehensively as you can, otherwise this is going to be a fruitless exercise. I tried diving your questions into individual questions so that we can try address them one at a time.

Let's start with the reverse light issue.

Remove the wires from the switch, switch the car on have someone look at the reverse light for you, Does it stay on even with the wires removed from the switch?
