I'm wanting to get rid of my air filter and put something in which will give me a nice growling sound.
Any suggestions? Price range?

Wrong end of the car, where does most of the engines sound come from? The exhaust.


Free flow exhaust.

with a new air filter, all you will get is a louder suction sound, branches with a free flow exhaust like Rickster said

Yeah the free flow exhaust was my other option but the cone filter will give my car a nice growling sound.
Air filters are also relatively cheap, around R400 or so for the cone. No point getting a full induction kit?

Only when you press the throttle. The exhaust is audible all the time. Why do you want to make a 1.3 sound fast anyway?

Because buying things that would make the car faster would cost much more than an exhaust.
