Power supply upside down ??

I'm getting a Corsair HX850 and I have a Cooler Master case, will it be okay to put the power supply upside down so the air can filter out the bottom. From what I've read on the internet it should be okay.

One last thing can a power supply be too big, cause my friend can get me a Corsair HX850 quite cheap but I don't need that much power. If its not gonna cause any problems I will rather get a large power supply and future proof my computer.

Upside down as in fan facing downwards? Will be fine. In fact a psu ether way is fine. Have my TX750W with the fan facing downwards and I don't have any problems.

And no you can't get a psu too big. Although look at the HX620 or HX750 depending on your pc's specs.

My second PSU is upside down at the moment, pulling air of the GFX cards with no issues so far. The only cons I can think of is that a GFX card produces alot of heat and it could stress the PSU a bit. Also, if you were to drop a screw into the PSU while working on the case. :)

I have my HX750 upside down. Works perfectly. Using a Coolermaster HAF932 case
