Corsair Voyager 32GB Flash Failed

I just don't trust some of the stuff on bidorbuy.

In what way has it failed? What's it actually doing, if anything?

Have you asked the seller whether he will exchange it?

Unfortunately, I don't think any Corsair distributor is going to swap it out without an official receipt. You could ask ramguy on http://forum.corsair.com/v3/index.php what the process might be.

I have a Corsair Voyager 16GB and it's still going strong. A bit wierd in the beginning since my old machine just couldn't read from it, but that's old dodgey USB ports for you.

Get a refund and rather get from a trusted distributor/retailer.

Try this H2TestW v1.4 software to check the drive - if not being picked up by the OS, then it's knackered.

BTW - I think you got a bit ripped with the BoB price! Retail from a place like Sybaritic is R861 (incl.) and the average reseller pricing is in the region of R785 (if you know one)

Yip, if it's not showing up in the OS it's pretty much toast.

I revived a Kingston 8GB last week. It came back buggered, reporting zero size. Found some app and "firmware" to fix it. It did require the drive to be visible though.

Yeah, they did the same with the Kingston flash drives last year - sudden influx of fakes from China - I certainly could not tell the difference, and I buy/sell them every day...
