Seeing that these two will be calling the shots (I hope not too much though) in terms of running this country, what are the good (if any) and the bad that they will bring to this country?

Only bad. I come from a communist country. So I know...

What's wrong with communism exactly? I know Americans hate it because of lack of freedom and stuff like that, but I sometimes get the feeling that they are over exaggerating, China is not doing too bad.

I don't like the lack of drive it inspires...

And that alone people is the reason why SA will never survive to become a 1st world country. China may not be doing "too badly" but that's because they have had to become "capitalists" to be anywhere near as good as the rest of the world. Then we get the human rights abuses... And the pollution, and the destruction of the environment...

Its not the concept of communism that is bad. Its the reality that in this type of environment the economy is "managed" by politicians that are doing what they think is "right" for the majority of people. But the situation is that most of the time they get it wrong and the whole situation becomes inefficient and the whole economy goes don't he toilet.

The only reason the Chinese are getting it right is because they have a strong measure of free market economics built in and 1 billion people that provide a strong internal market.

We have no idea how Chinese people really are since the communist government controls all the media. Propaganda keeps everyone in line. China's industry relies on keeping wages very low, with no overtime, no benefits etc. The poor work 6 days a week and the minimum wage in Shenzhen where most electronics is made is about R500 a month! If you think that half of Chinese live on that much per month, that is 600/700 million very poor people. Do we want that here? Hello no! Chinese people also work MUCH harder than our average lazy South Africans who expect everything to be given to them. Imagine China's one child policy in place in South Africa! Hahaha. Poor people here continue to breed like rats so that their many kids can support them one day. Try telling them to have only one child or pay a fine to the government. Communism could never work here. It has never worked anywhere.
