Cost to develop mobile app

Hi all

Could someone please give me a rough estimate to develop mobile app, which is database driven.

High level requirements
1 . Flat file produced by system 1 > Flat File need to be stored on database and be displayed on the APP. APP does not manipulate info it only displays what is on the flat file.

2. App need to have Make payment button, functionality to link bank card.

3. Users need to register on app.

4. Need app for iOS and Android.

Please advise how many developers would be required and hourly rate.

Please PM info or any documents which may be will to part with which I can use.

Thumbsuck if you outsource: R50k. Conservative. Based on the few details you have provided.

Half that if you build a heap of horseschit, triple it for a proper app with proper design/documentation/project management, etc.

Database driven so have you considered infrastructure, maintenance, hosting costs?

You don't give anywhere enough info. But expect low ball 35k (and I think that's very low) to high ball 250k.

Sounds like something 1 dev can handle. 50-250k sounds about right.

Those of us who have been in the industry for a while know the potential costs. That's why you've got such disparate costs


Hire me and my colleagues: you'll get a professional, commercial product that will probably make you money (we've not seen your business plan so no promises)

Hire the cheapest you can get... well. Peanuts/monkeys and good luck.

Sorry guys forgot to respond back to this thread, I am keen to meet with those who specialize with APP development, particularly where there will be data loaded onto database from flat file and write queries there after to display data onto APP.
