Could I stream TV with this?

If I start the record function, then access it's IP address, I wonder if I can access the file it is creating via the lan and play it back via my PC.

It's for the cricket world cup.

I see it can function as a NAS device where you can view your recordings and files stored on the hard drive. Read Only. In this way you can also playback and copy files via network to your PC.

Got some testing to do :)

quite a few years back i used VLC for straming to our network..but that was off a file on hdd so yeah not sure how it will work for live data.damn wish i had the broadband to test it :(cricinfo will have to do...

I have Dual 19 lcd at my desk, so one for work the other for the cricket!

The Bosses actually came to me for answers , they want to watch cricket too.
Drifta is too expensive.

Our bar area has dstv it isn't going to be streamed from the web but from this device connected to the decoder and then via lan to our network.

And Yes we do have 8mb uncapped.

The stream would go to the partners laptops and my workstation - if it works of course, will have to find out tomorrow.
