Could Telkom keep Seacom pricing away from ADSL?

its not nice to post peoples contact details on an open forum.

anyways, i expect us to be getting 3X our current caps for the same price. i dont see anything better than that happening. i mean bcos everyone has to make money and charge, but at the same time it doesnt make sense to leave alot of capacity unused.

i agree- there should be NO CAPS when Seacom arrives.
those who "dream" of 10GB caps etc are selling themselves short -although this is what the fat pigs at the top will most likely do-
they are saying that we should "realistically" only expect caps that r 3 times bigger than what we now have- no mention of CHEAPER & FASTER.
the 90% reduction in costs and the 10 times faster they were talikg about, will conveniently apply to ISP's- only gullible fools will accept/belive whatever the "experts/analysts? say.
here is the cell number of a guy who works for SEACOM :
i tried him once- got voicemail.
if anyone can get any useful info from him, please post it here.

MODS, please remove his contact details..

I do not want everyone to be uncapped. Can you imagine the slowdown? We'll have 1000's of people downloading international news/torrents 24/7 pulling 100's of GB each. Most people don't need uncapped and I don't want my dslam to be choked by content-addicts. So those that do can pay more for those accounts, say R700 a month. I still want a capped account, but 15-20GB a month instead of 5GB for the same money im paying now - i don't expect much and I think my expectations will be met by year end.

dunno about change, thing is all we can do is speculate atm.
I say wait and see and there wont be dissapointment

well if guys over seas can get an uncapped, unshapped line (ie: 4MB to 24MB line) for so cheap, then i see no reason why we should get charged for cap. if the smallest package u could get was a 1MB line uncapped unshapped for +-R350 a month then u have a winner, other than that, if u offer anything smaller than that then i think it's all bull$h!t.

RELAX!
its not a big thing- you just go to Seacoms website, there is a local cell no, a french sounding guy answers- you tell him you are from Sa & want to know more, voila- you get this number.
