Counter-Strike GO - Only on Steam?

Hey guys,

So I really want to get and play CS GO.

Is Steam the only place to purchase this game? It's $14,99, not sure if anywhere else may be selling it cheaper.
 
Steam works in Rands not Dollars any more, CS:Go is R159 on steam and goes on sale end of year normally, bought mine last year.

Hmm okay. I'm running the Steam App on my PC and it's giving me pricing in Rands. Guess I need to check out some settings.
 
No, just realised it was the Steam account I created when I was in the US, so it still had me as being there.

Changed it, purchased, downloading.

See you guys online tomorrow :D

If you in no rush to play it then maybe wait for lunar new year sales. ( most likely it will happen) for a 50% discount. New year is on the 28th Jan so it should happen within the next week or two.
 
That would have been awesome to know 1 hour ago. Oh wells!

Also, I have never really gamed online on local servers so you guys need to point me to the correct servers etc

It's going to take time to get the settings right for your personal aim. So be prepared to play an easy 800+ hours before you start feeling like you getting somewhere.
But you will have fun and meet great people. Stick with it.

CS:GO was my first ever game in the franchise. Someone on here actually got me into it. Think he's Global last time I checked. It does take long to get your aim in set your mouse and so forth. But nothing beats putting in the hours. Amazing game.

I was just going to say you probably won't ever see the old ways of finding servers, it's super easy now.

Once you are in the game in the top left you will see Play under that will be find a game then you just choose one of the game modes and click Go.

The old ways of IP's etc are only for custom servers.
