It is not the cartoon that is funny, though.

Political cartoons are not meant primarily to be funny, they are meant to provoke a reaction. Possibly not that reaction, but anyway...
Satirical cartoons are generally meant to be humorous.

@wbot is right. Zapiro's cartoon on the Capitol events was neither funny nor anywhere near his usual class. I love most Zapiro cartoons, but even he does not hit the nail on the head every single time.
I like some of his stuff but a lot of the time it's a miss for me just like any cartoonist basically

No, but you do have to have espoused actual communist beliefs, you know, like believing in Marxism or Leninism, don't be a dotard who thinks calling someone socialist makes them communist, especially not in a American scenario (hell, or even a European scenario).
