A couple was killed in Bryanston in the early hours on Friday, Gauteng police said.
The man and woman were found at 6am by a cousin who lived in an outside cottage on the property, said Captain Doniah Mothutsane.
The bodies were found in a bedroom.
"I cannot say how they were killed, as it will form part of the investigation," she said.
Mothutsane said the motive for the murders was unknown and no arrests had been made.
Police could not provide the ages of the couple or say if they owned the property.
