Could someone explain to be what parameters are used when networks draw up their coverage maps. AGES ago I saw an MTN coverage map with differently rated coverage areas depending on the power output of the device. Whats the norm here, and is the map for inside or outside buildings and with a direct line of sight?

Correct me if Im wrong, but coverage and signal output are very relative terms that are closely tied to the way operators and their suppliers agree to calculate these things and are generally linked to the power output.

It usually shows the coverage for outside I believe
